About the Mungyeong Natural Ecology Park

  • Mungyeong Natural Ecology Park

    Mungyeong Saejae preserves nature. The Ecomuseum features the results of researching the ecological resources and biological resources of Mungyeong Saejae. The museum is a two-story wooden building, wherein 1F presents the renewal energy exhibition room for showcasing the future clean energy, video room for watching the natural environments of Mungyeong, etc., while 2F presents the permanent exhibition room for viewing Mungyeong's ecological resources and natural history, the exhibition room for showcasing new exhibits from time to time, and the space for learning about the natural ecology.
    Other attractions in the vicinity include the wildflower complex, renewal energy generation facilities, the traditional pavilion, the Mangdaengi Kiln where the traditional potteries used to be baked, the fountains that provide the visitors a refreshing feeling, and the waterwheel under the waterfall. You can take a look at the windmills for wind power, solar energy generation facilities, and self-operating street lamps to learn how they operate.

Ecopark

    • The Ecopark enables you to learn about ecologies, and it is located within the Mungyeong Saejae Provincial Park. They are 1.5 km (20 minutes) apart.
    • Mungyeong Saejae is nestled on the southern slope of the Baekdudaegan Mountain Range, and many ecological resources are distributed around Mt. Juheul.
    • The Ecopark gives you a glimpse of the rich, natural environment and ecological resources of Mungyeong Saejae.
    • The ecological habitat environment consists of the Mungyeong Saejae Flower Hill, Ecological Wetland, Ecological Pond, Wildflower Garden, Saejae Birds Observation Center, and Thatched-Roof House Village Experience Site, where you can observe biodiversity.
