• Jungang Market

  Since early modern times (1950s), Jungang Market has been open every day. Central to Jeomchon, it was most active in the 1970s and 1980s, but after the coal mine was shut down, activity decreased. The main products sold are four-season mountain greens, Mungyeong apples, omija, Yakdol beef, Yakdol pork. Conditions are excellent for keeping the products fresh. Other products sold here include textiles such as clothing and blankets, which bear the spirit of the artisans and their years of experience.
