About the Mt. Daeyasan

Mt. Daeyasan sits at the Baekdudaegan Mountain Range. It is one of the most famous mountains in Mungyeong. Mt. Daeyasan is located in Wanjang-ri, Gaeun-eup, Mungyeong-si, and Gyeongsangbuk-do, with inner and outer Seonyudong Valleys. It was designated and listed by Korea Forest Service as one of South Korea's 100 best mountains, along with Mt. Juheulsan, Mt. Hwangjangsan, and Mt. Huiyangsan in Mungyeong, celebrating the International Year of Mountains 2002.
Valleys surrounded by thick forests, where the crystal clear water runs through rocks throughout the four seasons, feature splendid views, such as Mudangso, Yongchu Waterfall, and Yeonagwoldae.
In particular, Yongchu Waterfall, which is a two-level waterfall, has water that does not drop vibrantly from a highest point unlike the other waterfalls, but the upper pond is shaped like a deep heart, which is greatly admired by the viewers. After passing through the broad rocks above Yongchu Waterfall, you can walk up the trail to Mt. Daeyasan summit within 20 minutes, and you will see Wolyeongdae where the moon is reflected in the clear valley water at night.
